Queen Letizia’s wedding anniversary – the most expensive dress ever

The bride wore a beautiful dress by Spanish designer Manuel Pertegaz. Queen Letizia tops the charts with her £ 6million dress.

Perhaps the most striking feature of the off-white silk dress was the stand-up collar.

But why was the dress so expensive?

One of the reasons was that the dress had embroidery woven into the silk using gold thread.

The Queen accessorized her with a diamond tiara, gifted by her stepmother, Queen Sofia.

The tiara was the same that Queen Sofia wore on her wedding day to King Juan Carlos in 1962.

It is indeed the most expensive royal dress of all time.

Kate Middleton’s dress for her wedding to Prince William in 2011 cost £ 250,000.

It was produced in collaboration with Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen.

The beautiful dress had a nine foot long train with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons on the back.

After Kate Middleton’s, the most expensive dresses are those of Princess Eugenie and Princess Diana.

Princess Eugenie wore a £ 200,000 gown in 2018 when she married Jack Brooksbank.

Princess Diana’s dress was valued at £ 151,000 in 2019.

However, they had been dating secretly for a year before announcing their engagement.

Letizia was a well-known news anchor for Spanish national television.

The prince offered Letizia a white gold ring adorned with 16 baguette-cut diamonds.

Ten years after their marriage, Felipe and Letizia became the King and Queen of Spain when King Juan Carlos abdicated the crown.
