Spain’s top-tier soccer team Sevilla have named financial technology company Naga as their new shirt sponsor and global business partner.
The deal will see Germany-based Naga replace online bookmaker Marathonbet on the front of the La Liga club jerseys from the start of the next 2021/22 season.
The length and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ABC newspaper Sevilla reports that the contract is worth up to 5.5 million euros ($ 6.5 million) per season. The club’s previous deal with Marathonbet was worth 5 million euros ($ 5.9 million) per year.
In addition to sponsoring the Seville kits, Naga will work with the club to offer exclusive content and services, as well as to develop technology projects.
“We could not be more excited to support the club and its local fans with our new partnership,” said Benjamin Bilski, General Manager of Naga. “We are sure this will benefit the Sevilla community and help develop the Naga brand globally, as Sevilla FC have such a rich track record and history.”
Sevilla will wear Naga La Liga shirts for the first time on August 15, when the new season kicks off at home against Rayo Vallecano.
