SNL: Elon Musk’s ‘Nuke Mars’ t-shirt is first look at controversial gig

Saturday Night Live showed off his first look at upcoming host Elon Musk on the show’s set.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO and billionaire to present on May 8, despite angry rumors among SNLregular distribution.

Wednesday (May 5), the official SNL The Twitter account posted an image without a caption showing Musk rehearsing for the show.

In the photo, Musk is wearing a ‘Nuke Mars’ T-shirt and wearing a bandana to cover his face.

A number of SNL Fans have criticized Musk’s image and involvement in the show as a whole, with one user condemning Lorne Michaels, the show’s executive producer, for recruiting him.

“No caption says it all,” one person tweeted. “You would think someone at NBC would make him wear a real mask.”

Another wrote: “F *** Lorne for inviting him and f *** Elon Musk.”

After SNL announced that Musk is hosting the show, two of the show’s regular cast members appeared to criticize the move on social media.

Cast member Bowen Yang posted a photo of Musk’s announcement tweet, with the response, “What does that mean?”

Aidy Bryant also posted a retweet from Bernie Sanders in which lawmakers called “moral obscenity” that “America’s 50 richest people today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people.”

Bryant’s social media post has since been deleted.
