The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 will take place on Sunday October 3 for IIT admissions. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur is hosting the exam. More than 1.6 lakh of students will take the exam amid the pandemic. Students will need to follow a strict COVID-19 protocol.
Applicants must wear masks and meet social distancing standards. If you or someone you know is appearing for a review, here are some things to keep in mind to avoid last-minute confusion:
Advanced JEE: necessary documents
Students must bring a printed copy of the JEE Advanced Admission Card downloaded from the official portal to their exam room. Admission cards of qualified students for the exams have already been issued and applicants can download them from the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
Students must also complete the COVID-19 pledge on the admission card and carry an original photo ID – Aadhaar, PAN, school / college ID card, driver’s license or passport (one of ‘between them)
Candidates failing to present these documents will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Candidates can only take with them a black ballpoint pen with a transparent barrel, a pencil, an eraser, a transparent water bottle and a simple analog watch in the examination room.
JEE Advanced 2021: report time
JEE Advanced 2021 will have two compulsory tests in two teams. The exam will take place in two teams. The first shift will be from 9 am to noon and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm Students are advised to arrive in the examination room well in advance to undergo the temperature control and other search processes.

JEE Advanced 2021 will take place in the form of a computerized test with two articles – Paper I and Paper II – of three hours each. The two articles will consist of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions will be designed to test the comprehension, reasoning and analytical skills of seekers. There is a negative mark for incorrect answers.
JEE Advanced 2021: prohibited items
Students should not carry any electronic devices, including cell phones, smart watches, health bracelets, smartphones, electronic pens, calculators, health devices, and other gadgets in the exam room. Slide rule, table / journal book, any study materials, abacus, geometric box / pocket / pencil box or scale.
JEE Advanced 2021: dress code
Candidates are required to attend the exam in simple clothing and should avoid wearing long-sleeved shirts, closed-toe shoes or sandals. Wearing jewelry, including tag or medallion, etc. is not authorized. Sunglasses are also not allowed inside the examination room. It is also forbidden to carry wallets, handbags, etc.
