The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge raised the bar on their recent visit to Scotland as their schedule was loaded with royal engagements.

On May 25, the royal couple opened a new hospital, The Balfour, in Kirkwall, Orkney, before heading to Stormness.

Later that day, after a change of outfit for the Duchess, the pair visited the European Marine Energy Center, where they spoke with staff and schoolchildren, as well as sailors, and viewed a craft at tide in full flow.

After stepping out in camel sunglasses earlier today, Kate opted for a more relaxed look in the afternoon.

She opted for a pair of tight dark denim skinny jeans, which she teamed with See By Chloe low-heeled boots, and the Seeland Woodcock Advanced Jacket.

Under the jacket, she wore a chic and casual outfit polka-dot print blouse with a ruffled collar by Brora, which reminded us of the eighties style of the late Princess Diana.

It was reminiscent of the soft prink blush ruffled blouse the Princess of Wales wore when she visited the Department of Health and Social Security in London in 1982.

Kate Dobby cotton blouse is a lovely design, as it has a pie crust collar – a slightly ruffled neckline – and ruffled cuffs.

It has a button closure, long sleeves and is made from a soft poly-cotton blend.
