New Tottenham signing Cristian Romero will wear the number four jersey next season, it has been confirmed.
The 23-year-old signed for Spurs after impressing in Serie A with Atalanta last season, while on loan from Juventus.
His arrival in north London was officially confirmed tonight, after Atalanta took his € 16million (£ 13.5million) option to buy the defender before closing a deal with Spurs.
And it has now been confirmed by Tottenham that Romero will wear the number four shirt, which was last worn by Toby Alderweireld last season as the Belgian left the club this summer.
Romero, who now joins forces with international teammate Giovani Lo Celso, with whom he won the Copa America alongside Argentina last month, has almost already confirmed the move by saying goodbye to Atalanta with a moving statement released. on his official Instagram account. .

Romero is understood to have signed for Spurs in a deal worth around £ 42.5million, putting pen to paper on a six-year deal with the club.
